It doesn't make any sense. Eco mode only shuts off uneccisary electrical consumers, sidelights may be neccisary (depending on where your parked), if you notice the hazzard lights still flash but the telltale lights & noise stop inside because they are not needed.

It's the manufacturer's way of keeping their emissions figures "accurate". Mine is disabled permanently, but this is due to it having an issue and stalling on the restart. After a couple of stalled restarts the ECO stays off permanently until I turn it back on. Even after turning engine on and off and few times.

One wiper go in one position and stay there, another one just want to move, but nothing else. I take all apart but don't find fault.

Well my C4 has managed to lose the economy mode function. I know it was there for the first 18 months of its life then poofff. Result, 2 flat batteries through leaving the radio switched on. It's booked to see the Citroen doctor next week, and yes they said it was an impossibility until it was demonstrated to them.

That unit that gave a link too supplies a list of the generic codes. Its not as good the lexia reader that Citroen use but it does the trick 90% of the time. With the codes clear, the limp home mode is turned off. Beware though, if the problem is a serious one, clearing the codes and getting out of limp home mode might make the matter worse. Gary.

We have an automatic C4 Picasso (2013) and had no issues before. It seems to be when she does short journys and the engine is cold - when she pulls up to traffic lights, the ECO stop/start kicks in, but then when she goes to set off again, the engine stalls and cuts out - saying put foot on brake and start the engine.
Re: Economy mode and start stop mode help. The battery may be nearing end of service life so may not be able to hold a full charge, which can be causing the economy mode to kick in more frequently. This can also be related to the Stop Start function. The Stop & Start system relies on many parameters being correct for it to operate.
PROBLEM: the owner says there's a problem with the eco mode. He says it doesn't turn on and can't be activated. - How much to fix? Do I have to take to a mechanic, or is it more computer related? Can I fix on my own? - Is this a common problem? - Can the car be driven without the eco mode? The car is a 2015 model, its the very basic model.
I understand Economy Mode and the reasoning behind it but am intrigued as to why it is activating post radio replacement and since the cold weather in coming will the repeated activation of Economy Mode cause battery problems? I only cover 9 miles per day and am worrying about flat battery
